Imed Belkacem (CEO)
Imed is a passionate leader with hands-on experience in the oil & fuel industry and international trade commodities. He brings direct experience from day-to-day trading with big trading houses like Cargill and Trafigura. Originally focused on Gulf and Mediterranean countries and on driving expansion into international markets. Extensive international network of investors and trade partners. Practical experience with all aspects of fuel trading, transport and storage in international environment. Based in the UK with operational presence in the EU, Gulf and Mediterranean.
Lubo Pokorny (CFO)
Extensive 25+years global experience across all commodities and finance disciplines including corporate, export, trade finance and project finance, having also built several businesses within past organizations. Lubo joined us from the 5th largest energy producer in Europe. Prior to joining Belartis, Lubo assured financing in energy generation and commodities trading on larger scale. Previously as VP for Raiffeisen International, CEO in Czech EXIM bank and IFC (The World Bank). Hands-on experience with financing oil&gas chain from exploration, transportation, storage (AGIP, INA, ERIEL-Gazprom, PetroVietnam, SRBIJAGAS, etc.) Consultant with McKinsey, Deloitte, and Egon Zehnder with broad experience in Europe, and Asia.
Mitja Pretnar (Logistic & Storage)
Mitja is a strategist and large project financing expert. With 25+ years’ experience in energy, utilities, and telecommunication sector, he managed large scale investment projects, re-structuring and worked in trade financing in the energy and utilities sector. Founder and Director of Executive Advisory Services. Prior to entering the private sector, Mitja worked for a service of the Government of Republic, Slovenia.
